Eurostampa Group, a family-owned business in operation for nearly 50 years, installed two HP Indigo WS6800 Digital Presses – one in its Cincinnati, Ohio location and one in its Napa, California location – along with an HP Indigo WS6600 Digital Press in its Touvérac, France facility to produce high-quality, high-value wine, champagne, spirits, chocolates and food labels for industry-leading brands. Its elite client roster includes Bacardi, Brown Forman (Jack Daniel’s), Antinori (Santa Cristina), Gaja, Lindt, Ferrero (Nutella) and Barilla, among others.
Eurostampa Group entered the high-end digital label production environment in 2013 with its investment in an HP Indigo WS6600 Digital Press. Impressed with the print quality and new efficiencies, the company added an HP Indigo WS6600 Digital Press to its Cincinnati, Ohio facility less than six months later. The company’s latest HP Indigo WS6800 and WS6600 Digital Press installations build on the company’s existing capabilities, enabling a wider range of innovative label applications and enhanced productivity, to address increased demand for digitally produced labels.
The Italy-based company, which has expanded to four new locations in less than nine years, has grown its business with HP Indigo digital presses, securing several new customers worldwide because of its digital capabilities. Digital work accounted for eight percent of the company’s North America revenue in the second half of 2015.
“Our high-end food and beverage customers are more frequently seeking shorter run lengths of seasonal labels, and we require flawless color matching to meet strict brand standards,” said Garry Lanham, CFO, Eurostampa North America. “With our HP Indigo digital presses, we profitably address our customers’ needs, providing faster turnarounds and impeccable quality, and we’re seeing more customers switch from traditional printing to digital.”
The HP Indigo WS6800 and WS6600 Digital Presses give Eurostampa Group increased production flexibility, offering intelligent color automation and perfect color registration between presses and locations, while eliminating the need for plates and lengthy set-up time. The company also benefits from the presses’ offset-matching print quality for pressure-sensitive labels, shrink sleeves and wrap-around labels, enabling the company to use its digital and traditional printing presses interchangeably and most economically per job.
